Supporting mods are required for the stage2 software, which include:
Intake, decat downpipe or sports cat, catback exhaust, Front mount intercooler, Upgraded clutch if manual or TCU map if DSG (preferred).
The Polo GTI 6C manual has been known to have a weak clutch that can slip with increased torque. We have flashed many cars across the globe with our stage 2 remap and rarely see this in most cases we have found the clutch works well providing it is not excessively worn. Although we cannot guarantee it won't slip once the software is installed.
The DQ200 gearbox found in the Polo GTI 1.8 tsi has been renowned for its dry clutch being an issue when tuning we have created a remapping service that ultimately limits the potential of damage to the gearbox although can not be guaranteed. It is extremely important to ensure you have a DSG gearbox remap to limit the chances of damage to the gearbox.
